New Family migrates to Birmingham

Praise the Lord for the migrations of the saints to the GTCA cities. We recently had a young couple with their baby daughter migrate to Birmingham from Irvine, CA. This move was done in the body and through much fellowship. We are happy to have them join us. The brother is able to continue his job working from home and the sister is in process of looking for job here. There joining us has been a fresh infusion of life. The college students we are laboring with all adore their young daughter. Over the past year we have been laboring in particular with a cluster of students at UAB. Through their regular attendance on Friday nights we have gotten to know them. Gradually we have begun setting up regularly appointments with them individually. They are beginning to testify how they are gradually being changed from being those with little thought of God to experiencing and even enjoying Him in their daily lives. His life really does have power to change a man. We have been blessed with regular traffic from the churches in 2012. During the spring time we had several groups of college saints come through on their blending trips….Read More»

Update from San Luis Obispo

We continue to experience the Lord’s blessing here in San Luis Obispo.  We had about a dozen students on spring break from UC Riverside come join our Cal Poly new ones late last month for a time of blending.  This marked the first time for many of our students to be blended with others from another campus.  We had shared earlier with our students how important it is to enjoy and release the Lord in our spirit, but now the dear ones from UC Riverside “demonstrated” such a release and enjoyment, especially in their singing.  What a blessing it is to blend and receive the help from the Body.  Our students got a real taste and they enjoyed it! Good news—as an answer to a prayer request from our report last month, a sister was offered and has accepted a fulltime position working in orthotics here in San Luis Obispo!  She and her husband are scheduled to move from San Diego to San Luis Obispo in mid-June.  By the Lord’s supply, they even have a condominium waiting for them when they get…Read More»

San Marcos, California

It has been very encouraging what the Lord is doing with the college students who have been contacted at Cal State San Marcos and Mira CostaColleges. There are meetings on campus and in homes in San Marcos, Oceanside and Vista . Monday and Wednesday evenings there are small home meetings usually with a meal to shepherd the students on a more personal basis.  In addition there are a  number of’” one on one” appointments. The number in these two homes varies from 3-10 depending on each student’s availability. On Fridays there is an on going college meeting which rotates on a monthly basis between four different homes. As time has gone on, one important goal has been to encourage the students themselves to assume and pick up more responsibility for the Friday meeting. With coaching from some of the workers the students take responsibility for  the singing , material presented and the overall direction of the meeting. This seems to have really fostered some growth in the 10-20 that attend this meeting.A small number of students have also been involved helping cook  food  at the host home for the gathering.

Several weeks ago we enjoyed a rich time of blending with college…Read More»

Change of address

We have changed our Lord’s Day morning meeting place temporarily to Santiago Middle School at 515 Rancho Santiago Blvd., Orange, CA 92869. The meetings begin at 9:30 am. The prayer meetings rotate between the homes of the saints from month to month, sometimes having as many as 50 saints attending.

The Lord has blessed the campus work in Orange over the last year. We began with only two homes open for campus meetings and now there are six homes open for Friday night meetings for the students. A strong nucleus group has been established at Chapman, and Santiago Canyon has begun a club on campus this term.

Please pray that we would locate a permanent place to meet on Lord’s Day. The city of Orange is particular about where public gatherings are held, so we have been struggling to find a place that…Read More»

Update from San Luis Obispo, CA

The Lord is Good! The labor is progressing on Cal Poly campus in a steady way gaining more and more ground with each of the students as we have more individual and group times with them. As most of you know we now have the Steinberg’s fully moved here and this is affording us to increase our labor in both the campus work and community work.

San Luis Obispo Update

The Lord continues to bless our new students on Cal Poly campus with one-on-one meetings, campus Bible studies, and weekend dinner college fellowship times. Last week was especially fruitful as a dear brother was here for the entire week, making each meeting even that much more enjoyable! He is gone for this week but then will return for good  .

Our highlight this week will be the visitation of a young couple. Do pray that the Lord will open the job opportunities for each of them. We desperately need a young couple such as they to help care for our many students that are being attracted. O Lord, go before them and open every door according to Your Eternal Plan.

BLOOMINGTON GTCA UPDATE

The Lord has progressed much in the last year here in Bloomington, Illinois when 900 Bibles were handed out. During this past year the saints in Champaign have labored faithfully to find and raise up local seeking saints in Bloomington who are open to the Word and the ministry. This year the gospel team arrived on Saturday, January 28th and immediately attended four different home meetings in the homes of these new ones remaining from last year. Twelve from Bloomington attended these four home meetings. We were received warmly and we enjoyed open, mutual fellowship on the all-inclusive Christ.

On Lord’s Day, we had a one hour singing and enjoyment meeting followed by a one hour prophesying meeting. We have never held a Lord’s Day morning meeting in Bloomington before, since most of our new ones usually attend denominational meetings. Thus, this was an experiment to see if some would come. To our surprise, nine new ones attended…Read More»

UPDATE FOR SAN LUIS OBISPO

SUMMARY REPORT GTCA SAN LUIS OBISPO 2012

It was our pleasure here in San Luis Obispo to host 6 FTTA trainees for nine days from Saturday, January 28 – Lord’s Day, February 5. Our goal during this time was to labor on our present students and to also contact new students on the Cal Poly campus.

Our present student club attendance is as such: we have three returning students (church kids); one new student contacted a year ago February; eight or so students from this last Fall and possibly a potential of five more students that could be added from our recent nine days of labor.

These nine days were a glorious time of fellowship and coordinating with the FTTA trainees. We were revived, they were revived and our students were revived. We Praise the Lord for the blending of His Body!

Our first meeting was on the Saturday evening when the the trainees arrived. It was a time for our trainees and students, 8 or 9 this evening, to get to know each other as we enjoyed fellowshipped around the table. After dinner we gathered for a time of singing and sharing by each of the trainees of their experience…Read More»
